Who’s Wrong about Wright?
Say it! Just Say it!
And frankly, I’m with him on this. These last few weeks have totally erroded any support I had in our hope for a female president.
Finally, I want to say a word about the basic decency I have seen in Mr. Obama. Mrs. Clinton continues to throw the Rev. Wright up in his face as part of her mission to keep stoking the fears of White America. Every time she does this I shout at the TV, “Say it, Obama! Say that when she and her husband were having marital difficulties regarding Monica Lewinsky, who did she and Bill bring to the White House for ’spiritual counseling?’

Republicans won Texas for Hillary
Rush Limbaugh [encouraged] his listeners in Texas to pass on the Republican primary (where a John McCain victory was all but certain) and instead vote in the Democratic primary for Clinton, whom he (rightfully) sees as a less potent challenger than Obama in the general election. Conservatives harbor such an inexplicably enormous hatred toward Hillary Clinton that it looks like Limbaugh might have been able to scare up enough voters to swing the Texas Democratic primary from Obama to Clinton.

“I don’t think it [a same-sex union] should be called marriage, but I think that it is a legal right that they should have that is recognized by the state," said Obama. The US spends 6 Times as Much on Prisons than Higher Education
For the first time in history, more than one in every 100 American adults is in jail or prison… The report, released Thursday by the Pew Center on the States, said the 50 states spent more than $49 billion on corrections last year, up from less than $11 billion 20 years earlier. The rate of increase for prison costs was six times greater than for higher education spending, the report said.

How much mud is needed for a clean win?
As politico.com reports, it’s gonna get ugly and we’re not talking about the credit markets.
With the delegate count split between Obama and Clinton, the decision will come down to the convention which is increasingly looking like it will be a mud wrestling match.
Pledged delegates are not really pledged at all, not even on the first ballot. This has been an open secret in the party for years, but it has never really mattered because there has almost always been a clear victor by the time the convention convened.
But not this time. This time, one candidate may enter the convention leading by just a few pledged delegates, and those delegates may find themselves being promised the sun, moon and stars to switch sides.
It doesn’t take a genius to see that neither candidate is going to get a clear mandate from the party before the end of the primaries. And, in the absence of a clear winner, any delegate heading to the convention is fair game.
So far, Clinton has been more heavily reliant on support from super delegates ie the party big-shots. If that is the basis for a win, it will split the party. She needs to swing support from pledged delegates or an ensuing a presidential win will be in doubt. Pundits are thus expecting some major schmoozing from her camp.
But how many of her own delegates will have been swept up in the momentum of Obama fever by the time they reach the convention?
