Just passing on some research on Haze statistics:

Thailand has the best stats in the region:

Singapore comes in a big step behind but still second with daily average figures:

Malaysia, contrary to rumour, does not produce PSI stats though occasionally they will report that air quality is "good" or "moderate" but won’t provide specifics:

Indonesia of course reports nothing.

It’s amazing to me that all these governments have pollution data that they are keeping from the public. I’m not sure what they think they are protecting… tourist revenue?

Anyway bottom line is that, from what little info is out there, this year’s el Nino will ensure a long drought and a pretty bad haze season.
